Install

Run AOMEI Partition Assistant setup program PAssist_Setup.exe.

When the popup window appears, select "Next" and follow the wizard installation instructions.

After the installation process has completed, a prompt may appear to restart the computer to complete the installation.

Uninstall

Partition Assistant can be uninstalled using one of following two methods in Windows.

1. Go to the Start Menu -> AOMEI Partition Assistant -> Uninstall AOMEI Partition Assistant

Or

2. Go to the Windows Control Panel -> Uninstall a program, right-click AOMEI Partition Assistant and uninstall it.

To completely uninstall the program, a prompt may appear requesting the computer be restarted, which can be deferred until a later time. 

 

In some cases, the program might not be uninstalled normally. Or, the program always asks for a restart but fails to install. Then, you need to clean the registry of AOMEI Partition Assistant. Once it is cleaned, the program will be uninstalled from your PC thoroughly.

Please follow the below steps to clean the registry of AOMEI Partition Assistant:

Step 1: Please press Win+R to open the run box, and then type into "regedit" in the box to open the Registry. (Note: you should run it as Administrator)

Step 2: Locate the following path:

“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AomeiPartition Assistant_is1”

OR

“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Aomei Partition Assistant_is1”

and then delete this folder.

After the registry is cleaned, the program will be removed from your PC completely.  If AOMEI Partition Assistant folder still exists in the installation directory, please manually delete it (generally, it is under C:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI Partition Assistant).

 

Notes: If the program cannot be installed or uninstalled with some errors, for example, runtime error, you can follow the steps to clean the registry and remove the program from the PC. And then, you can reinstall the program if necessary.
