How to Copy Log and Crash Files of AOMEI Partition Assistant in Windows

By default, the log and crash files are under the installation directory of AOMEI Partition Assistant. In this article, we will take the default installation directory of Partition Assistant as an example. The default installation directory of AOMEI Partition Assistant is C:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI Partition Assistant.

If you do not install AOMEI Partition Assistant to the default path, the installation directory might differ.

To locate the installation directory, you can simply right-click the shortcut of AOMEI Partition Assistant and select "Open file location".

If a program crash occurs, you can find the Crash2.dmp file under the installation directory C:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI Partition Assistant and copy all log files under the "log" folder of the same path. Then, please send the Crash2.dmp and log files to our support team.

If there is no crash occurs, please simply send the "log" folder under the path to our support team.

Tips: Please copy all log files under the "log" folder. To copy these files, please use a compress tool to first compress the whole "log" folder as a compressed file, for example, .zip, or .rar.

 

How to Copy Log and Crash Files of AOMEI Partition Assistant in WinPE

Some operations will run in WinPE from a bootable media created by AOMEI Partition Assistant. In this case, it is important to copy log and crash files under WinPE.

Tips: Please copy all log files under the "log" folder. To copy these files, please use a compress tool to first compress the whole "log" folder as a compressed file, for example, .zip, or .rar.

1. Boot from the Partition Assistant bootable disk.
2. Click "Tools"-"Windows Command Line".

3. Input "notepad".

4. Click File-->Open.

5. The log files are in "Computer\Boot(X:)\ Program Files\AOMEIPartAssist\log".

6. Copy the log folder to another location. After that, please send the copied log files to our support team.
