1. Migrate OS to SSD without reinstalling
If you have an HDD or a smaller SSD as the current system disk, you can use “Migrate OS to SSD” to do a quick disk upgrade to set your new SSD as the system disk without reinstalling the system. And you can keep all your customized settings.

After migration, then reboot your computer, please enter the BIOS setup environment to change the boot order to boot the computer from the target SSD to check if the SSD is bootable.
2. Clone the entire disk to SSD
Step 1. Run AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional and choose “Clone” > “Clone Disk” in the main interface.
Step 2. In the new window, you can choose a way to clone HDD to SSD based on your situation. We recommend you choose “Clone Disk Quickly”.
◤ Clone Disk Quickly: Only clone used space to the destination disk.
◤ Sector-by-Sector Clone: Clone both unused and used space.
Step 3. Choose the source disk and click “Next”.
Step 4. Then select the SSD drive as the destination disk and click “Next”.
Step 5. Now, you can also resize partitions just being created on an SSD drive. If the new SSD is smaller, the first option will be greyed out.
Step. 6 Click “Finish” and then click “Apply” to execute the pending operation.
3. Convert to MBR/GPT without data loss
After Windows 11 was released, many users need to convert their SSD with MBR partition style to GPT for the new system because Windows 11 only support UEFI. If you also need to convert your disk, no matter system disk or data disk, AOMEI Partition Assistant can realize a data-safe conversion.

Step 1. Connect your SSD to a Windows 7 computer via SATA port (since SSD Secure Erase is only workable in Windows at present). Install and run AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional.
Step 2. In the left menu of AOMEI Partition Assistant, click "SSD Secure Erase Wizard" and click "Next". Or, click on the SSD and select "Wipe" > "SSD Secure Erase".
Step 3. Select the SSD that you want to securely erase and click "Next".
Step 4. Double check the SSD identification information in case of erasing the wrong SSD because the data is unrecoverable after the Erase. Now, you will see the SSD is in a frozen state. To continue, you need to perform a hot swap.
Open your computer case. If it is a laptop, open the computer's rear cover or drive shell. Locate the SSD that needs to be securely erased. Then, unplug the power cable from the SSD and disconnect the SATA data cable from the SSD. Now reconnect the SATA cable to the SATA port on the SSD and plug the power cable back into the SSD's power connector to complete the hot-swap.
Step 5. Click "Next" to start the SSD Secure Erase.
