◤ 4. Because GPT and MBR boot in different ways, changing a boot disk to GPT may leave it unbootable. If you’re ready to use Gptgen to convert your MBR disk to GPT, we suggest you backup everything on your disk.

Step 1. Type “CMD”, right-click the best match, and choose “Run as administrator”.
Step 2. Type “diskpart”, press “Enter”, and under diskpart, type list disk to display all disks in the system.
The disk 0 is the target MBR disk, then we’ll convert disk 0.
Step 3. Type “gptgen.exe -w \\.\\physicaldrive0”, press “Enter”, “0” is the MBR disk number, don’t forget to change it into your own disk.
When you run this command, you'll get a warning that says “This tool cannot guarantee that such partitions will remain bootable after conversion.”, and you’ll be asked “Do you want to continue? [Y/N]”, please type “y” and hit “Enter” if you’re sure.
Then, you need to wait for the task to finish.
