Free server partition manager can manage hard drive for Windows Server. You can use it to move/resize Server partitions without losing data.
As the Windows Server operating systems get increasingly fashionable, system administrators' requirements also become higher and higher. They hope the utilization of the Server could be as much as possible. Then how can this be realized by partitioning the hard drive for Windows Server systems? The answer is using a Server partition manager.
Certainly, there is indeed a built-in Windows Server partition manager, but this Disk Management tool has limitations, for instance, it can only create and delete partitions, format partitions, and some other basic operations. How could we manage our Windows Server more effectively? Thus we need a more powerful software, which should have many functions.
Standing out from so many similar software, AOMEI Partition Assistant Server Edition brings all that we need above. It's a professional Server disk/partition management tool supporting Windows Server 2025/2022/2019/2016/2012(R2). With its help, we can manage our hard disk partition in Windows Server very easily. Functions are as follows:
• Convert the disk to MBR/GPT without data loss • Extend partitions without data damage • Migrate OS to another drive/disk • Disk clone • Resize and move BitLocker partition or normal ...
Here, take the move partition as an example.
Step 1. Install and run AOMEI Partition Assistant Server. Choose the partition you want to move (take the D partition as an example, and you can see there's an unallocated space located after the D partition), right-click it, and then click “Resize/Move Partition”.
Step 2. Put the mouse on the selected partition and drag it rightward when the mouse becomes a cross crux. Then hit "OK" to continue after you drag partition D to the very right end.
Step 3. As you can see from the following screenshot, partition D has been moved to the right side of the unallocated space. And the unallocated space has been moved directly after the C partition. To save the changes, click "Apply" on the toolbar.
After moving the partition successfully, you can extend the partition you plan to by resizing it: right-click the C drive and select “Resize Partition”, drag the bar to the left side to extend with the unallocated space.
As a versatile Windows Server manager, AOMEI Partition Assistant can help you do many works with easy operation. This user-friendly tool also has the Unlimited Edition for enterprise users to manage many PCs efficiently and the Tech Edition for professional PC users to fix PC problems.
