Scenario
Once, one of my friends suffered a lot from data loss. He used to save all his private matter on partition D, including photos, videos, music and things like that. One day, when he started his PC, he could not find his partition D through Windows Explorer. He was very unhappy so he began to recall what could be the cause for this. He sought in his mind what he had done the day before the computer failed to boot. After recalling what he did in the past few days, something caught his attention. It seemed that he deleted his D drive accidentally...
Since the data saved on the D: drive was very important, he found me and hoped that I could help him recover the deleted partition and the data on that partition. With the help of AOMEI Partition Assistant, he recovered the partition and data successfully.
About Partition Recovery

You can recover lost or deleted partition through a few simple steps with Partition Recovery Wizard. Here we provide you the detailed steps to recover partition in Windows 10/8/7 with AOMEI Partition Assistant.
Step1.Install and run AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional on your Windows PC. To recover your lost or deleted partition, you need to run AOMEI Partition Assistant, select "Recover" and “Partition Recovery”.
Step2.Choose the disk from which you want to recover the deleted or lost partitions and then click "Next" to continue. (Take Disk 2 as an example)
Step3.You will see two search modes in the pop-up window:
Fast search: it will scan the first sector of each partition on the selected disk in order to find out the deleted or lost partition quickly. (Recommended)
Full search: more in-depth search every sector of each partition on the selected disk. And consequently, it needs more time. You could choose this method when Fast Search fails.
Choose whichever one you need and click “Next” to go to next step.
Step4.Once the deleted/lost partitions are found, they will be displayed in the list box, and highlight the partition which you want to recover and click "Proceed" to continue.
Tips:
The partitions be found are listed in details. You can see their special information: file system, capacity and flag (primary or logical).
You can double click the partition to check the files to see whether the partition is the one you want to recover. To do this, you can also directly click “Explore files in this selected partition” button after choosing the target partition.
You can select more than one partition by ticking in the box which lies in front of each partition information and recover them all in one time.
The final status after restoring can be seen in graphic bar. The partition with blue cross is the partition you are going to recover.
Step5.After that, the AOMEI Partition Assistant will give you congratulations to notice you the lost/deleted partitions have been recovered successfully. After that, you can see these files in “My Computer”.
Note:
If you can’t find those deleted or lost partitions by using Fast Search, try another way: Full Search.
This feature could only support recovering lost/deleted partitions. If the partition has files, after the partition been recovered, the files will also come back automatically. If you want to recover files from formatted, corrupted partition, you need to use data backup software .
The recovered partitions may have no drive letter. If so, you could not see the partitions in "My Computer".
