If you need an Intenso SSD migration tool to clone disk but donβt know much knowledge about computer, this guide will help you easily and securely clone your data.
Intenso was a storage media company that was created in 1998. The German company assists in everyday living and contributes to making contemporary life simple and safe. The key qualities of the Intenso brand are modern items with high-quality criteria. Its internal disks, such as 2.5"SSD SATA lll High and M.1 SSD SATA lll Top, as well as external SSD, are all popular.
Unlike Samsung or Intel, they offer users their own tool to help users migrate data between disks. Intenso doesn’t have built-in clone software. So, no matter whether you want to migrate data to or from an internal or external Intenso disk, you’ll need to use third-party disk clone software.
With disk clone software, you can move all to your target disk without reinstalling your Windows system and all programs, all settings won’t change on the new disk. It’s very convenient.
If you’re still searching in the software market but don’t know how to choose a reliable one, here, we recommend you AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional, a disk and partition manager for Windows 11/10/8/8.1/7/XP users.
In SSD clone software, you have 2 functions to clone your Intenso SSD. If you want a bootable Intenso SSD, you can choose “Migrate OS to SSD” or “Disk Clone Wizard”.
The former option only migrates Windows system partitions to SSD to make sure the target disk can boot the system smoothly, and leave the rest data partitions on the old hard disk. The latter will copy the system and all programs to the target disk.
If you just want to clone or upgrade a data disk, then you can directly choose the “Disk Clone Wizard”. This function offers two ways to clone disks. It allows users to clone a larger disk to a smaller disk because the “Clone Disk Quickly” method only copies the used sectors to the destination location. Of course, there is a “Sector-by-Sector Clone” choice to copy all sectors to the target disk.
In this part, we’ll show how to use AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional to clone a system disk to another SSD as an example.
Step 1. Install and open AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional. Click “Clone” on in the top toolbar, and choose “Migrate OS”.
Step 2. Choose an unallocated space on the SSD drive. If there are partitions on it, tick "I want to delete all partitions..." to generate unallocated space and click “Next”.
Step 3. In this window, you can resize the partition as you need, then click “Next”.
Step 4. A note on how to boot from the destination disk will appear, read it carefully and click “Finish”.
Step 5. Click “Apply” to commit the Windows system clone to SSD operation.
Step 1. In the main interface of AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional, click "Clone" in the main interface, and select "Clone Disk".
Step 2. Choose the hard disk that you need to clone as the source disk and click "Next".
Step 3. Select another drive as the destination disk, and then click "Next".
Step 4. Then, you can check the source and destination disk in the next window or change to "Sector to Sector clone", and click the "Confirm" button to continue if there is no problem.
Here, you can also click the "Settings" button to adjust the partition size on the destination disk or tick "4k alignment" to improve the reading and writing speed of the SSD.
Step 5. After returning to the main interface, check the pending operation and click "Apply" and "Proceed" to commit the operation.
When you finish cloning the system disk, you need to change the boot disk order in your BIOS to make sure your computer will boot Windows from the target SSD.
Step 1. Restart the computer and constantly press F2 key (or other keys like Del, F8, and F12) to access the BIOS menu.
Step 2. Use the arrow key to select the Boot tab. System devices will appear in order of priority.
Step 3. To give the cloned SSD a boot priority over other hard drives, move it to the first position in the list.
And another point you need to know is if you cloned the system disk from MBR to GPT or GPT to MBR disk, you need to change the boot mode from Legacy to UEFI or UEFI to Legacy.
As an Intenso SSD migration tool, AOMEI Partition Assistant covers many services, you can resize partitions and optimize SSD performance during the cloning. And after the clone, this SSD clone software can become a disk manager for you. You can convert a disk to GPT/MBR without deleting partitions, convert drive file systems between NTFS and FAT32 without formatting, move large folders and installed programs to another location (without reinstalling), etc.
And it has the Server Edition for Windows Server 2025/2022/2019/2016/2012(R2)/2008(R2)/2003 users to safely and conveniently manage their Server devices.
