You may want to move Adobe Creative Cloud to a different drive to free up space if the C drive is almost full. Fortunately, this post will show you how to move Adobe Creative Cloud to another drive.
Hi, I want to move my Adobe programs (Creative Cloud, Lightroom and Photoshop cc) to run on another drive in my system. Is it possible? When I download, I can't choose where to save. And when I try to cut the program from the C: drive to another drive, it doesn't move the file because it says the part is currently open. Thanks.....

Adobe Creative Cloud provides support for applications, web services, and more for users' creative projects (photography, graphic design, video editing, UX design, drawing and painting, social media, and more). Simply put, Adobe Creative Cloud is a collection through which users can manage all Adobe programs.
Due to the large amount of media data stored when creating with Creative Could, this will take up a lot of space on your drive. If Creative Could is installed on the C drive, this will cause the C drive to run out of space. Over time, the computer will run slower and slower or even crash.
Fortunately, this post will show you how to move Adobe to another drive step by step.
If you think that you can manually copy Creative Cloud to the new path, then you are wrong, because manual copy and paste will damage the location information of Creative Could and will not start.
For the easiest and fastest way to move installed Creative Could, you must not miss AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional. App Mover feature supports moving installed programs to another drive to free up space, and the moved programs can boot successfully. Also, it allows moving folders to a different drive. With the guidance of every step, you won't get confused while using it.
Please download the Demo version to see how to move Creative Cloud to another drive.
Tip: This method also works for moving Adobe apps like Premiere Pro, PhotoShop cc, DaVinci Resolve, etc.
Step 1. Install and launch PA Professional, then select “App Mover” under "Free upe".
Step 2. In the new window, click “App Mover”.
Step 3. Then, select one partition that you want to move applications from and click "Next".
Step 4. Choose the Adobe programs you want to move and select the target location, then click "Move".
Step 5. In the pop-up window, you need to read the prompts. Click "OK" to begin the process.
Adobe Creative Cloud is installed on C: drive by default, and the user cannot change its location. However, you can install Creative Cloud apps (such as Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, etc.) to a different drive through Creative Cloud. Please refer to the steps below to change the installation location of Creative Could apps:
Step 1. First, open the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Step 2. Then, select the account icon in the upper right corner, and then select Preferences.
Step 3. Select Apps in the sidebar, then select the edit icon next to Install Location to choose where you want to install the Creative Cloud app.
Step 4. Select Done to apply the changes. After the change, your application will be installed in the new location.
This method can only change the installation location of Adobe apps but not Creative Cloud. If you insist on moving Creative Could to another drive, please use AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional.
As you can see from the above, we can free up C drive by moving Creative Could to another drive. Also, you can extend the C drive from another partition with enough space. Let's see the detailed steps:
Step 1. Launch AOMEI Partition Assistant, right-click the partition which has enough free space, and select "Allocate Free Space". (Here we take the D partition as an example.)
Step 2. In the pop-up window, you can decide how much space to be added to the C drive. Then, click "OK".
Step 3. You can take a preview of the operation result before starting. Click "Apply" to execute this operation. Then you will notice your C drive is larger than before.
In addition, you can also delete large files by type to save more space on the C drive.
From what has been discussed above, this is the whole process of how to move Adobe Creative Cloud to another drive. There are two methods you can choose, but with the help of AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional, you can do it easily and quickly. If you plan to move Adobe to another drive on Windows Server, you should turn to Server Edition.
